The following synopsis of the Opening General Session presentation by the keynote speaker set the tone for the entire conference.
During the Opening General Session of the WEFTEC 2018 Conference, Keynote Leadership Speaker Kevin Brown delivered a captivating and entertaining presentation. Author of “The Hero Effect,” Brown reminded the audience to “be your best when it matters the most.” Brown’s heartfelt and timeless message followed opening comments by 2017-18 WEF President Harry Hartfelder and Executive Director Eileen O’Neill who used the opportunity to spotlight this year’s conference theme: Regeneration. “In short, Regeneration is about harnessing the power of individuals working together towards something greater” says O’Neill. Brown’s inspiring address encourages individuals to bring the best version of yourself into the present moment and into the lives of the people you serve, and serve with. Kevin is a branding and culture expert with a career in franchise development who believes everyone is responsible for delivering world class service regardless of their title or position. He shared with the audience ideas, strategies, and principles that aim to inspire and equip individuals to show up every day and make a positive difference citing “true leaders are able to turn what is probable into what is possible.”
