LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP) at Milnes Companies

What is LEED?

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

What is a LEED AP?

LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process.  LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System.

Both Rebecca Peterson and Angie Plantz have received accreditation in LEED for “New Construction”.  In the LEED for New Construction Rating System, a building can acquire points toward LEED certification in five areas – site selection, water efficiency, energy systems, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality.  There are both environmental and financial benefits to the LEED process, and Milnes Companies are proud to offer these services to our clients.
