ZERO Injury Safety Initiative

The Milnes Companies Introduce Enhanced Safety Program and Continuing Commitment to Safety and Health Standards

The Milnes Companies have always considered safety to be of the upmost importance, but have recently showed a renewed commitment to promote health and safety in the workplace.  Specific goals of the safety plan include:

  • Maintain a low incident rate of injuries
  • Keep lost workdays to a minimum
  • Motivate employees to focus on health and safety performance
  • Continue to improve systems for training
  • Actively update the safety manual
  • Implement safety first response procedures
  • Develop an effective risk management program
  • Evaluate and classify injuries

Milnes Companies have an in-house, qualified OSHA safety trainer.  All project managers, general superintendents, and field superintendents are required to complete OSHA’s ten and thirty hour training program.  All field employees complete the ten hour training.  Additionally, all superintendents are trained in CPR and First Aid.

The Milnes Companies ultimate goal is ZERO Injuries, and by striving to achieve this goal both employees and clients will benefit.
